Can I buy a ticket on the spot?

It is highly advised to buy the entrance tickets in advance through our website, even though it may be available upon arrival. Online tickets are treated as priority in case of a full-house.

The price is the same both online and on the spot.

In case of purchasing in person, at our bath entrance you can use our self-service ticket machines, payment is only available by credit or debit card. If you would like to pay by cash, please go to our steam entrance ticket offices (see map for directions.)

Euro is not accepted. Other services like saunas, body treatments and premium tickets can also be paid on the spot.

How far in advance can I buy a ticket?

We kindly inform you that entrance tickets/massages/packages/treatments can be purchased on the webshop on our official website https://tickets.szechenyibath.hu/ 30 days before the reserved date.

Can I change my ticket to different date or another type of ticket? If I cannot visit on the day I bought my ticket for, can I get a refund?

We regret to inform you that according to our terms and conditions we are unable to change the date or time slot of online purchased tickets.

 After you confirm all the data, there is no date/period changes or refund. If you need to cancel your trip, please contact you travel insurance provider.

Can I enter with my QR code?

No, you cannot, you need to go to exchange your qr code for a wristband/proxy watch and you do need to keep it with you until you leave the bath.

What is the difference between a daily ticket and a fast track ticket? Until when can I stay at the bath?

With the daily (standard, non-fast track)  ticket, you can enter at the Bath entrance only and please look for designated priority ticket sign at this entrance, please note that you may need to wait when the bath is full with this tickets type.

With the fast track tickets you need to enter at the Spa entrance, with this ticket line you can skip the line and after showing your qr code you can enter immediately with your wristband. With the daily tickets, guests can enter anytime during our opening hours, while the fast track tickets are seperated into morning and afternoon tickets.  With the morning ticket type you must enter by 11 am, and with the afternoon ticket you can enter any time between 3-7 pm, the time slots cannot be exchanged. With both ticket types you can stay all day if you wish.

When can I enter and how long can I stay with the daily ticket?

You can enter the bath anytime during our opening hours and you can stay until closing time. Last entry is at 7 pm, the pools must be vacated until 7:40 pm, and closing time is at 8 pm.

When can I enter and how long can I stay with a fast track ticket?

With the morning ticket type you must enter by 11 am, and with the afternoon ticket you can enter any time between 3-7 pm, please note that the time slots cannot be exchanged. With both ticket types you can stay all day if you wish, then stay until closing time. Last entry is at 7 pm, the pools must be vacated at 19:40, and closing time is at 8 pm.

How long can I stay with the the Good Morning Budapest ticket type?

  • Good morning Budapest ticket can be purchased from Monday until Friday from 7 am to 9 am exclusively in person on the spot. (Not available online.)
  • You need to purchase the ticket before 9 am, but you also must enter with it by 9 am. After that time you are not permitted to enter and you need to buy a new ticket.
  • The ticket itself is valid all day. The pools and pool areas must be vacated until 19:40.
  • It is with locker usage, but you can purchase private changing room in addition to that for 1000 HUF more/person.
  • It is not available weekends and on holidays.
  • Entrance from Állatkerti körút 9-11. (opposite the Circus) in case of payment to use the self-service ticket machines.
  • Entrance from Steam entrance near Underground Line 1. in case of payment by card or cash.

Is there a family/child/retired/student ticket? Is there a ticket option just for a few hours or half a day?

We only offer the same daily entry ticket for all age groups. Entry is only free for children under the age of 3. We actually do not offer a discount for students or retirees, or tickets valid only for a few hours or half a day. We do not have family ticket either.

If I arrive with a suitcase, where can I put it during my stay?

For suitcases and bigger luggage, it is recommended you to purchase ticket with private changing room (cabin). The cabins are comfortably sized and they can store more than lockers can. You can leave your luggage in the closed cabins all day until you leave the bath.

In case of two or more people it is recommended to only purchase one ticket with private changing room usage, to purchase one ticket with locker usage No need to purchase two cabins, unless you prefer it.

What is the difference between a locker and a private changing room ticket? Where can I leave my belongings if I have a private changing room ticket?

First of all-all of our tickets include  changing room access, both the locker and the private changing room can be operated with the wristband which you will get upon arrival, however the the daily ticket with locker allows you to change in a commom changing rooms for ladies and gents separately and gives you access to a locker to store your belongings. The locker is small, it is enough for a backpack.

The daily ticket with private changing room allows you to change in the private changing room that you can keep for the entire stay and lock it to secure your belongings for the duration of your stay with your wristband, that you have received upon arrival. All private changing rooms or so-called „cabins’ can store bigger pieces of luggage and suitcases.

Where can I park around the building?

We regret to inform you that we do not have a parking lot. However, there are spaces nearby with the city’s parking fees applying to them. Furthermore, the daily ticket provides you only 1 entry to the bath. As parking is available only three hours, please ask our staff for assistance to get you out and back for a short time in order to extend the parking time.

Is the spa open on public holidays?

We kindly inform you, that we are open every sinlge day, even on holidays. Our opening hours can be found on our official website: https://www.szechenyibath.hu/opening-hours

Our ’peak periods’ are holidays (Easter, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Pentecost and other national holidays) we operate under weekend opening hours and peak period prices.

Peak Periods in Hungary may differ from worldwide known holidays such as: 15-17 of March,  29 March-1 April, 1st of May, 18-20 May,  17-20 August, 21 December 2024 – 5 January 2025,

In case of any maintenace issues arise we always place a notification or our website in, therefore we highly recommended to visit our website above before you arrive. Are children allowed in the spa?

Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in saunas, steam rooms or plunge pools and in the indoor thermal pools due to the high mineral content. They can use only the outdoor pools. Two of our outdoor pools are not filled with thermal water, those are the swimming pool and the leisure pool.

Infants can only enter the pools if they are toilet-trained. The use of swimming diapers is prohibited.

We actually do not have family/children/student tickets. We only offer a standard daily ticket regardless of age (entry is free only for children under the age of 3).

Is there a discount for people with disabilities or visually impaired people? Is the building accessible?

We regret to inform you, that we actually do not offer special discount for guests with disabilities or visually impaired people. All the prices are the same for every guests.

We kindly inform you, that the building is not fully barrier free. Obviously we welcome even guests with disabilities. When you arrive at the bath, please ask our colleagues' help for an appropriate private changing room which is big enough to leave the wheelchair in it.

How can I buy ticket with Budapest Card discount?

We kindly inform you that you can use the Budapest Card discount only in case of buying tickets in person at the cash desks. It is not available online. You can pay by cash or bank card. Euro is not accepted.

Please, arrive at the Steam entrance near Underground Line 1.

Do you have special opening hours for the holiday season?

Please kindly note that our opening times have changed on the following dates:

Opening hours of the Private Spa for the festive season

What swimwear is allowed in the spa?

We kindly inform you that swimwear (made of swimsuit material) is mandatory in all pools. Slippers are mandatory in the spa. You need a swimming cap (only) in the outdoor swimming pool, if you would like to swim. Burkini is accepted.

The 1.24 point from our policy statement:

"In order to ensure compliance with sanitary and official regulations, provide appropriate bathing treatments, prevent accidents and ensure undisturbed rest of the Guests, the following is prohibited:

g) enter pools in clothing that, because of its size, poses a public health, water quality or accident prevention problem. Only swimwear made of thin, colourfast material specifically designed for swimming (e.g., swimsuits, bikinis, unikinis, tankinis, trikinis, swim shorts, surf shorts, burkinis, surf shirts) is allowed in the pools. Entering the pools in street or non-swimming athletic attire (e.g., jeans, skirts, sports bras, gym dresses, leggings, compression garments, underwear) is prohibited.

h) wear slippers, clogs or other rubberized shoes or other footwear in the pools,”

Unless I have swimming suit, swimming cap, towel, slippers, can I rent them?

Renting is NOT available at the baths. There is an indoor sales point where visitors can buy caps, towels, slippers, swimsuits, bathrobes. Euro is not accepted. Paying can be in cash or by card. Please note that swimwear material can be worn only.

Are towels, bathrobes, swimming caps and slippers provided? Is it possible to rent them?

With the daily ticket we actually do not provide free swimwear, towels, bathrobes, slippers or swimming caps. You can purchase them at our shop, or bring your own ones. Rental is not available. Wearing slippers is mandatory. Wearing cap is obligatory only in our swimming pool, otherwise known as lap pool.

Can I buy the Private Spa package in person on the spot?

In case of unsuccessful online purchasing we kindly inform you that we have rooms even on the spot, but it has very limited capacity. It is recommended to arrive at the bath as soon as possible in order to have an available room.

What is the difference between the Superior and Deluxe Private Spa relaxation rooms?

The main difference between the two types of room is that the Deluxe room includes private bathroom and the indoor pools are available directly from the corridor. The Superiors does not include private bathroom and restroom and the guest have access to a common restroom at the end of the Private Spa corridor or inside the bath.

How can I book the Dayspalm package with a massage appointment included?

Dayspalm packages with massages are not available. Dayspalm package and massages can be purchased separately. It is highly advised to buy them in advance on the webshop on our official website:  https://tickets.szechenyibath.hu/

 You can purchase both the Dayspalm Lazy Days Chill & Cocktail (from Monday to Thursday) and the Dayspalm Chill & Cocktail package (from Friday to Sunday) upon arrival, too. Massages are also available on the spot, but have limited availability, if you are looking for a couples massage, we strongly recommend to book our Private Spa Experience packages.

When booking a solo massage-it is recommended you to come as early as you can in order to have an available appointment.

Is there a restaurant or buffet on the bath premises?

We kindly inform you that snack & drink bars and a restaurant can be found at the bath and you can also consume food and drinks brought from home, but you are not allowed to bring in alcohol (in any quantity or packaging). Thank you for your understanding. The restaurant opens at 8 am with sandwiches, some bakery products and coffee for breakfast, and during lunchtime they offer a wider selection of hot meals from the famous Hungarian cuisine. They also have some vegetarian options as well as fruit and vegetable salads, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests of the Dayspalm and Private Spa packages can also enjoy the comfort of a VIP bar, located on the second floor near the internal pools.

Please also note that there is an a’la carte restaurant near the bath, buti it is not directly accessible from inside the bath https://szechenyietterem.hu/en/ . There are several other food outlets near the Bath in the park.

I want take a look around the spa but I don't want to use the pools, is there a visitor only ticket?

We regret to inform you that guided tours are currently not available. Visitor tickets cannot be purchased. You can enter the bath with valid entrance tickets.

I would like to give an entry ticket as a gift, how can I do that?

We kindly inform you that we have either gift vouchers or gift cards available.

Gift vouchers are available online for either 1 000, 5 000 or 10 000 HUF. The gift vouchers can only be purchased online and can only be redeemed for online tickets as well. The recipient can use the voucher by typing in the code written on the voucher during the purchase. Multiple vouchers and codes can be used in one transaction. The gift vouchers are unfortunately only available on the Hungarian version of our website.

The gift card is a plastic card, and they can be purchased only at the ticket offices on the spot. You can purchase the gift card for any amount (from 1000 until 100,000 HUF), and the recipient can use the card to purchase tickets only on the spot at the ticket offices.

Where can I buy tickets for the Sparty?

Sparty takes place in a bath (and great one for that), but it is and foremost a party. Daytime services are not available during the party. Everything offered is there for you to have as much fun as possible. If you’d like to enjoy saunas or massages at Széchenyi, we recommend visiting the bath during the day after your Sparty experience. Sparty - Every Saturday: from February to December, Sparty opens its doors weekly to host everyone who’s up for some spa fun to today’s best electronic dance music.

While twice a year, in August and December, the Grand Budapest Bath Party gets even more grandiose. Our Sparty Special (Cinetrip) is the exquisite older brother of Sparty, a bath party at the legendary Széchenyi Bath where we turn the heat, the visuals with fireworks and the fun up a notch.
